KENZO KIDS’ Fall/Winter Range draws its inspiration from a collection of folk tales read to children by their parents for centuries, which hint at a mysterious and far away world. The mystic of old world Russia; Doctor Zhivago, the infamous Russian ballet, Tsarinas, Russian dolls and Colonel Michka. This is a collection of contrasts, where a little tweed jacket warms up a dress in oversize embroidery, flower-printed silk meets precious sequins, the crushed velvet goes hand-in-hand with floral print patchwork, and where tartan adds a masculine touch to woolens.
The knitwear is the collection’s must-have: traditional fair-isles, in new striped or geometric patterns, embroidered on the shoulder or waist, and in cosy cardigans, sweater-dresses or collar-scarves and with colours inspired by the natural world, taken straight from the earth and the deepest forest.
