Its a little bit cheeky and a little bit rock and roll. WOWCH is a super cool grown up’s brand that has started making for kids. All their tees are American Apparel made and the collages are painstakingly applied to order in Brooklyn NYC.  Picture these little tees on your hipster with some cool bright blue skinny jeans or if you like the striped tee – wear it with some grey or even yellow denim!

MODA Clothing Co is a mom and pop brand owned by Matthew and Cammy Barnett. They draw their inspiration from their son, Alexander. Not only is he slender and extremely hard to fit for clothing, but he has a very unique style that they found hard to find in stores.

So they decided to create their own line, featuring hand-painted graphic t-shirts, and a wide variety of accessories that are “the icing on the cake”. Their  latest collection features denim pieces with stretchy but cool waist bands, so that even the smallest boys can dress themselves – instilling a sense of confidence – “I did it all by myself!”

Their Artist’s Series T-shirt Collection features three unique designs, which are all hand-painted in house. Each of these pieces are inspired by Alexander in a different way and their Accessory collection features the famous mohawk hat (made in house), as well as fedoras, eyeglasses, belts, suspenders, watches, necklaces (made in house), bow ties (made in house), and more.

Chalk it up to good genetics and great connections, but celeb offspring are landing some pretty sweet modeling gigs lately at ages where most kids are entering their gawkiest stages.

Oasis’ Noel Gallagher gorgeous daughter Anais Gallagher was just shot by Mario Testino, but now some real modeling royalty offspring has entered the arena; Cindy Crawford’s 10-year-old daugher Kaia (dad is Rande Gerber). She’s just been announced as the new face of Young Versace. Mom Cindy was a muse of Gianni’s, so it has to be a sweet moment for everyone involved that Kaia is taking up the Versace mantle now.

“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” Donatella Versace said in a release. “The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!”

Cindy returned the love, saying:

“I’m so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace. Being on-set with my daughter watching her in front of the camera was a fantastic experience. I am so proud of her.”

The campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot and the Young Versace line will debut during Pitti Immagine Bimbo in Florence tomorrow. It’s geared towards kids ages 0-12 and we’re happy to report that while the main Versace line is sex personified, this one looks cute and age appropriate, while still incorporating some of Versace’s signature themes.

Ryan in the Target catalog

Ryan in the Target catalog

For all the controversy surrounding some child models, it gives us great pleasure to dote on the latest pint-size star. His name is Ryan, and he has Down syndrome.

The adorable 6-year-old’s latest modeling gig is for Target, and he also appeared in a Nordstrom catalog this past summer. Daddyblogger Noah’s Dad posted both of the photos and shared these thoughts:

“If you were browsing through this week’s Target ad you may have passed right over the adorable little boy in the bright orange shirt smiling at you on page 9!  And if so, I’m glad!

The reason I’m glad?  Well, that stylish young man in the orange shirt is Ryan. Ryan just so happened to have been born with Down syndrome and I’m glad that Target included a model with down syndrome in their typical ad! :)

This wasn’t a “Special Clothing For Special People” catalog.  There wasn’t a call out somewhere on the page proudly proclaiming that “Target’s proud to feature a model with Down syndrome in this week’s ad!”  And they didn’t even ask him to model a shirt with the phrase, “we aren’t all angels”printed on the front.

In other words, they didn’t make a big deal out of it.  I like that.”

Noah’s mum also commented:

“We are very pleased that Nordstrom placed Ryan in their catalog. The whole process of modeling is an extreme confidence booster for him. He received so much warmth and caring from the Nordstrom crew that he thought they were there just for him! We are honored that Ryan is making the Down Syndrome community proud. He is a beautiful boy inside and out. He makes us better parents, and a better family.”
