The new Burberry Autumn Winter Campaign is out and, as usual, we are in love.. The inspiration for this collection has come from the English Countryside and as is always the way with Burberry, the kids collection is a MiniMe version of the grown ups.

The lust have items, and really, out of all the kids brands, Burberry really does it the best – are the coats. So many cool, wonderful, warm, devine coats! Watching this video of these 2 kids jumping and splashing in puddles in their ‘to die for’ coats has given me inspiration to go outside and do the same! Don’t we all love a good puddle jump?

Strolling down Broadway after a late lunch yesterday I was distracted by the small crafts market that’s just popped up at the Madison Square Park.

Amongst the usual that you can expect at such a venue I noticed a very cool collection of childrenswear, Paradis Found, made exclusively with recycled and vintage fabrics. All handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces, there was a fantastic range of coats and hats in preparation for the coming cold months here in NYC.

If you happen to be in the neighborhood over the next month, drop by to check it out (and say hello to Dana Paradis, the designer behind the range). Alternatively, check out their website.

Once just “the flying tomato”, now a household name through his near-flawless Olympic golds in snowboarding, Shaun White teamed up with retail giant Target in 2008 for a signature “action sport -inspired” clothing range. Presumably due to success, they have now expanded this to include footwear, on shelves in July.

“It’s been a lot of fun working with Target for the past few years on my clothing line,” said Shaun.  “I’m excited to have the opportunity to bring some authentic skate shoes into the mix.”

We dropped in for a peek, and although they’re definately no Lakai or Emerica, they’re not too shabby.

Available at Target, of course, or online.

Its always nice to have one special coat for winter. Something that can get you through the naming days, christenings, parties, special events and visits to grandma plus ensures your child stays warm and still looks good. In times like these, you want the coat that you choose to be able to go with everything in your child’s wardrobe. The more often they wear it, the better. The inspiration for this story? British actress Thandie Newton’s daughter, Nico, looking divine in her navy velvet coat.

J.Crew taking pre-order for Inauguration Coats

J.Crew caused quite a stir when they dressed the Obama girls both during and after the recent Obama election campaign.  In fact, the retailer’s website, www.jcrew.com, was down for about a half hour on Inauguration Day as shoppers rushed to scoop up the girls’ colorful cold-weather attire.

The First Daughters chose bright hues for Dad’s inauguration: Malia Obama (10) in periwinkle blue with a coral dress, and Sasha Obama (7) in a guava coat with an orange scarf and gloves.

While the outfits were custom-made for the occasion, J.Crew are now releasing the coats in the Fall 2009 line!

J.Crew are taking pre-orders for the coats!

    Call: 800 591 3745

    Details on there website here.

As my mom always said… dress for the job you want.  So if the White House is in their future, maybe these coats are pefect for your minihipster!
