NIPPER Mini is the world’s first kids helmet with perfect fit and appealing skate and dirt halfshell
styling. TSG’s new Nipper is the first in-mold half-shell helmet for little children.

It offers perfect fit and ultimate protection even at the sides of a child’s super sensitive head.
The Nipper is the latest development of Swiss helmet expert TSG. After several years of
research and development, including both the intense analysis of children’s head shapes as
well as the adaptation of casting molds to their specific anatomic features, TSG proudly
presents a new kids helmet for spring 2011.
Flyweight design for sensible children’s heads The Nipper is designed using an in-mold manufacturing process: a solid polycarbonate outer
shell is fused with a shock-absorbing EPS inner shell. Thanks to this efficient manufacturing process, the helmet only weighs 195 g without sacrificing protection performance.
Safe and low fit The Nipper is made for children’s head sizes from 48 to 51 and can be used from the point of when children start to walk. It is the world’s first kids helmet of this size which truly fits without the need of an additional adjustment wheel at the back. Traditional kids helmets have to be re-adjusted every time, which increases the risk of adjustment failures and a negative influence on the safety aspects due to additional parts and pieces on the head.

SO if you have a crazy, adventurous, skater, biker, boarder, rider of any kind, child these new helmets are the business. They are currently available in 2 colours:

Think the Beckham boys’ personalised caps look cool? We do, and lets face it, as a parent its fun to order things for your children that are a little bit unique and a little bit them. We found a site, custom hats, that personalizes all types of hats from caps to buckets to the coolest one of all, the bullpen. We uploaded some artwork on their site for a bit of fun, just to see what they look like.

Scarves are everywhere at the moment, and they really make an impact on any outfit. Remember the days of dressing up in your mum’s clothes, putting her fabulous scarves around your head and dancing around the room? Well now your kids get to do it to you – and wear them out and about. We have found some great scarves online. If your little fashionista likes to wear scarves, send in their pictures, we would love to see how they accessorize!

We all know it’s unbelievably important for kids to wear a helmet when riding their bike/scooter/skate board etc. BUT that is no reason for them not to look their best. There are some very cool designs around, if you are prepared to look. But how do you go about choosing a hat this spring/summer...?

There’s been a revival in the wearing of all types of hats over the last few years, especially for males – a popularity that one imagines hasn’t been seen since the days of Bogart as a private detective, or Audrey Hepburn with oversized shades and extra-long cigarette holder…

But how do you go about choosing a kids hat this spring/summer?

Children’s hats are not just about being functional anymore, and with so many options to choose from you definitely want your child’s hat to work with the rest of his/her wardrobe! There are some very cool designs around, if you are prepared to look.

Just imagine putting your son in this plaid fedora from Goorin teamed with a plain t-shirt or shirt, and some denims. Instant attitude!

Or if the fedora is too much, what about this cool seersucker or stylish gatsby, both also by Goorin!

Every girl needs a pretty sun hat! and there couldn’t be a better option, at least for values sake, than a reversible hat, like this fabulous design from miniBoden. This style of hat is somewhat old fashioned and girly, but that’s the idea and I just love them!
Plus the extra wide brim keeps the sun off precious skin.

For high summer, I think every mum’s personal favorite is the bucket style, also known as the fisherman’s hat. The bucket style seems to suit everyone, boys and girls alike; ‘plonking’ one of these babies on your baby’s head is easy. These are bright and colourful – for him from miniBoden (left), and her from Debenhams (right).

If it’s a more standard type of cap that keeps your little lady happy, how about this military style from Roxy (left), or for him this cadet cap, again from Goorin.

Personally, I think the “cap with fabric down the back to protect the neck from the sun” is not too cool, however extremely functional… but I’m struggling to find one that doesn’t look like it belongs around the beach or in the pool (that is, made of spandex or ’swimmers’ material).

I had some great fun looking around, now I have to cross my fingers and hope I can get my children to wear them!
