Perfect for the little one to scout his/her own trends on MiniHipster.com, Intel have recently released their new kids-specific laptop, the Classmate PC (a.k.a. CTL 2go).
The Classmate PC is extremely robust, water-resistant, looks fantastic and operates off the ever-familiar Windows system. The unit can also be converted from a traditional laptop to a tablet PC to allow children to write and draw more naturally.
Even better, Intel will make a donation on behalf of the purchaser to Kiva.org and Save the Children.
If you don’t feel you’re little one is ready for a laptop, try donating one to a child that is through the One Laptop Per Child Association.
The original project from which Intel launched it’s own kids laptop, the mission of the OLPC is “To create educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning.”
